Robert Flennaugh II has represented clients in Washington State and Federal courts for over twenty six years. He began his career as a public defender with the Society of Counsel Representing Accused Persons (S.C.R.A.P), where he represented both adult and juvenile clients on a wide variety of charges. He then joined a private Seattle firm specializing in criminal defense and later opened his own criminal defense practice, Law Office of Robert Flennaugh II, PLLC.
Robert's breath of experience in both Federal and Washington courts and extensive background in trial and negotiations are effective assets to his clients. His abilities and expertise are well-regarded by peer attorneys and judges. He is a fellow of the American College for Trial Lawyers. Also, he is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Lastly, he has been voted a "Super Lawyer" by his peers every year since 2010 (Washington Law & Politics Magazine).
Criminal Defense - Juveniles
Robert has represented hundreds of juvenile clients facing all levels of misdemeanor and felony charges in criminal juvenile court. A majority of these cases dealt with non-traffic alcohol and drug charges as well as serious felonies, such as sexual assaults. Robert is involved in a number of community and civic organizations focused on youth outreach, and is a frequent guest speaker before high school and college audiences on issues such as juvenile rights.
Criminal Defense - Adult
Robert has defended adult clients on all levels of misdemeanor and felony charges. In particular, he has extensive experience representing clients on charges of domestic violence, assault, and violation of no contact orders. Robert’s practice has an emphasis in serious felony matters, including murder charges. He is an experienced trial lawyer and negotiator, and has tried many cases before juries and judges in the Washington State courts.
